I don’t think friendzoning exists as a legitimate problem. I kind of think of “friendzoning” as a legitimate mechanism used by a woman to respect a dude’s feelings.
I don’t think the dudes who bitch about being “friendzoned” realize that the woman in question still wants you around (for some strange reason, given that you’re a fuckwad?) If you tell a girl you have feelings for her and she rejects you because you are “just her friend”…you are still in her life? And she wants you there? You’re the one pissed because you don’t have access to her pussy as well her friendship. She’s still content with you having access to her friendship, so if your legitimate concerns were about being with her, you’d think this would still be satisfactory.
I’ve been watching this series on MTV called “Friend Zone” (“Friend Zoned?” something like that) and it is complete shit, but the one thing that always remains the same is this show is the “Friend Zoner” (the one “putting” the other in the “Friend Zone”) always expresses that they still like, enjoy and generally want to be around the “Friend Zonee” (the one in the Friend Zone.) No one in that show has rejected the other as a love interest and as a friend.
The fact that this girl you’re quote-unquote in love with is still considerate of your feelings as a friend as a person, who still cares enough about you to be real with you and not fuck with you on such a monumental level is the same girl that you’re writing bullshit circle-jerk posts about is fucking appalling. What a good way to show that you never gave a fuck about her or her friendship at all.
My friend and I were talking about something like this last night. Dudes, it takes a lot for a woman to say “no” to you and keep you completely out of her life. You can be creepy and unworthy, and she may still keep you around. Because she doesn’t want to reject you. It’s like a woman has to have a very high level of audacity or something to fully kick a man to the curb. The decency that we pay to weird, self-assured, friendzoned men outlines male privilege in a huge way.
